“Study in Tomsk!” project is the best in Russia

“The Study in Tomsk!” project of the Tomsk Region administration won the Silver Archer National Prize in the field of development of public relations. The ceremony of summing up the main PR competition of the country was held yesterday, 19 February, in the metropolitan hotel Metropol.

“The Tomsk story about the university-city, which was built to teach and to study, won,” noted the project leader, Alexey Sevostyanov, head of the Information Policy Department of the Tomsk region administration. “And of course this is not only a victory for Tomsk Region Administration, which is working very hard in order to attract young and talented people to the region, but for our universities as well.”

The project is a combination of PR events aimed at increasing the number of nonresident and foreign students at Tomsk universities. Among these events are educational missions, special events and activities, and media campaigns for promoting Tomsk in Russia and in the countries of Southeast Asia.

“Study in Tomsk” won in the category “The best project for the development and promotion of the territory” and outstripped the other shortlisted PR projects of Moscow, Samara, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Udmurt Republic, Altaisky Krai and Zabaikalsky Krai.
