Tomsk HEIs held presentations for school students in Molchanovsky district

The representatives of the admissions committees of the Tomsk universities presented their educational programs to 11^th grade school students at the schools of Molchanovsky district. The event took place in the form of “Around the World” and was attended by more than 230 high school students.

Students got acquainted with the educational services of Tomsk HEIs, admissions conditions, and received answers to all their questions. The visit was attended by TSU, TUSUR, TSAUB, SSMU and TAEI.

“At the meeting there were not only students, but also their parents. The information about HEIs will be useful especially in terms of professional orientation of school students. The majority of graduates from the schools of Molchanovsky district are attracted by the specializations of lawyer and economist in TSU and TPU,” said Irina Shpachenko, deputy director of the Regional Department of Higher Education.

She added that the most frequently asked questions were about scholarships and work in building teams. Irina Shpachenko also noticed that future applicants to TUSUR were interested mostly in the specialization Information Security, whereas future applicants to SSMU were interested in Pediatrics, TSUAB – architecture and construction, TAEI – Veterinary Science, and TSU and TPU – English language and Law.
