The rectors of leading specialist universities in Siberia and the Far East, Viktor Vlasov (TSUAB) and Valery Obukhov (TSPU) signed a strategic partnership agreement on 15 July.
The universities plan to collaborate in education and scientific research, and organize cooperation between their respective students.
“Definite proposals have been prepared,” said Prof. Vlasov. “Among them is academic mobility for the teaching staff and students of both universities, continuing professional development in the sphere of innovation, the development of educational programs for professional development, the creation of joint laboratories and the opening of TSUAB postgraduate programs to TSPU graduates. There are also proposals relating to international activity: holding joint workshops and lectures with participation by foreign academics, and translation of academic papers in the pedagogical university.”
An important part of collaboration will also be joint professionally-oriented activity and the preparation of school students for competitions in various subjects.
The agreement presupposes joint student activities: inter-university sports competitions, work projects, and exchange of experience in student self-government.
